(and you can keep sending those perfect recipes for spanokopita no matter the length Two Depression era recipes: Beans over toast: 2 cups any cooked, mild beans like navy or even pinto 1/4 cup ketchup or tomato sauce 1 tbsp prepared mustard (or more to taste) 1/4 cup brown sugar (or more to taste) Heat and serve over toast. Breaded tomatoes: 2 cups cooked tomatoes (canned is fine) sugar to taste 2-3 slices of bread In a saucepan, add chunks of bread to tomatoes and sugar. Heat and serve. that's Grandma's recipe.
