Guest guest
Hello all, I'm trying to find some software that will make my meal planning easier, & I was hoping some of you might have recommendations. I need something that will allow me to: input, save & print recipes produce a number of mealplans using the recipes produce grocery lists using the mealplans Nice-but-not-essential features would be: nutritional value calculations able to size up/size down recipes I've looked at MasterCook on-line but want something that will allow me to save a larger number of mealplans & shopping lists. I've also tried three downloaded software packages, but am not sold on any of them. I have tried Recipe Library, which was just hopeless, then I tried Now You're Cooking - I don't particularly find this easy to use, & it seems that you have to add new ingredient items to the list of recipe ingredients & then separately to the list of items in the grocery store aisle list, which is a pain. I've also tried Easy Recipe Deluxe - I find this much easier to navigate round, but it doesn't allow changes to the format of either the grocery list or the recipe card, & I can't figure out how to assign a particular store & aisle to an ingredient so it will automatically pick up that info when making a grocery list. I think there may be some bugs in the software too, as I'm also finding it does some peculiar things when it processes the ingredients in the list - a can of beans will suddenly become 1 tbsp, for example, or 4 potatoes will become 4 tsp potatoes! Also I've found that sometimes the help files are available, & sometimes they just won't appear at all. So the hunt continues...can anyone help?
