Guest guest Posted January 19, 2001 Report Share Posted January 19, 2001 Vegetarian Granite di Limone (Lemon Ice) 3 cups water 1 cup sugar 1 lemon, minced zest 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice 1. Simple syrup: Put the water in a saucepan and add the sugar. Bring the liquid to a boil, lower the heat, and simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes, stirring until the sugar has dissolved. Refrigerate until well chilled. 2. In a bowl, combine the sugar syrup, lemon zest and lemon juice. Pour the granite into metal ice cube trays or a shallow metal pan and place in the freezer.
