Guest guest Posted November 27, 2000 Report Share Posted November 27, 2000 Spaghetti Pie ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ready In: 55 minutes Serving size: 8 12 ounces spaghetti, cooked and rinsed 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese 1/2 cup cottage cheese 1/4 teaspoon oregano 1/4 teaspoon basil 1/4 teaspoon thyme 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper 2 eggs 1/4 cup frozen spinach, chopped, thawed and drained (FRESH IS MUCH BETTER!) 2 cups tomatoes, chopped 4 ounces Swiss cheese, sliced 2 cups spaghetti sauce 1) Preheat oven 350. 2) Lightly grease a 9 " springform pan. 3) Cook spaghetti according to package directions; rinse with cold water; drain. 4) In large bowl, combine spaghetti, Parmesan, ricotta, oregano, basil, thyme, garlic powder, cayenne, and eggs; toss until well mixed and spaghetti is coated. 5) Press half the spaghetti mixture in bottom of prepared pan. 6) Top with spinach, half the tomatoes, and half the cheese slices. 7) Press remaining spaghetti on top; layer with remaining tomatoes and cheese. Bake in preheated oven 30 to 35 minutes. Let stand at room temperature 10 to 15 minutes, until set. In medium saucepan, heat pasta sauce until hot.
