Guest guest
Cherry Pie 1 graham cracker crust 1 large egg yolk, slightly beaten 1 21-ounce can of cherry pie filling 1 tablespoon cornstarch 1 tablespoon water ------------------ 2 tablespoons granulated sugar 2 tablespoons light brown sugar, firmly packed 1/3 cup flour 1/3 cup quick cooking oats 3 tablespoons margarine 1) Preheat oven to 375 degrees. (I can get the Celcius, if you want.) 2) Brush bottom and sides of the crust evenly with egg yolk; bake on a baking sheet until light brown, about 5 minutes. Then remove it from the oven to cool. 3) Place cherry pie filling in a bowl. Combine cornstarch and water to make a smooth mixture. Mix it into the cherry pie filling, and then spoon that cherry mixture into the prepared crust. 4) Combine the sugar, brown sugar, flour and eats; mix in melted margarine. 5) Spoon dry mixture over the pie. Bake at 375 degrees on a baking sheet for 35 minutes. Cool at least 4 hours on a wire rack or in the fridge. Serve at room temperature or chilled.
