How to make a Tofu Turkey

I don't quite understand.

The holiday is a holiday of Thanksgiving, not of food.

Commercial interests have converted Thanksgiving

into a struggle for celebrating material wealth,

prosperity, success, around eating lots of food,

typically a dead bird and other things.

However, there's no real reason to celebrate Thanksgiving

around food, although, if you want to do so, you can

have your own modest or elegant meal of grains and

vegetables -- or, if you want to make your OWN

" tofu turkey " - you do it this way:

1 - Make the dressing first.

2 - Build the " tofu turkey " " AROUND " the

" stuffing "

by

a - First blending 5-6 packages of tofu in a

blender,

b - pack the tofu slush around the egg-shaped

" stuffing "

3 - Shape the soy-breading artwork to LOOK LIKE a dead turkey.

(I find this objectionable, but I've learned to

think, and I've been

shown how to do this.) Put it in a

pan with a rimmed edge,

to hold fluid, which will drip from

the basting sauce.

4 - Make a soy sauce for the basting.

5 - Bake the artwork at about 400 degrees Fahrenheit

6 - " Baste " the artwork about every 20-30 minutes during

the

entire period. The basting will flavor the

otherwise bland

tofu, and the stuffing and its spices will

" seep through "

the tofu artwork, flavoring it throughout.

Tofu " takes " whatever surrounds it, or

borders it.

(Beware! That could be good or bad.)

Meanwhile, time the rest of your dinner.

Vegetarians and vegans typically enjoy

steamed broccoli (Vits A & C, fiber,

phytochemicals)

sweet potatoes or yams (good for

betacarotene)

brown rice (B Complex, fiber)

apple cider

good company, bright minds, good will

towards everyone

Please tell us how this " works out " for you.
