Hi all,

I had to cover the Lexington Barbecue Festival all day Friday. I spent 9

hours standing in and around a pit (it's bascially a big shed you walk into)

filled with slabs of pig....having to act like it was the greatest thing

since sliced bread. From 3p until midnight I had to deal with people

sticking pieces of greasy hog in my face trying to get me to eat it. I

didn't want to offend anyone so I offered the usual excuses... " I had a big

lunch " .... " Oh no, I'm watching my weight " . By the end of the night the

smell from the pit oozed from my pores. Ick.:-) Just had to vent for a

second.
