Guest guest
Here is the recipe. Got it off the net but don't remember which site. I include my comments at the end. Chocolate Cake Sift together: 3/4 c. cocoa and enought flour to make 3 1/3 cups all together 2 c. sugar or 1 1/2 c honey 1 t. salt 2 t. baking soda Mix and add: 3 T. vinegar 3/4 c. oil 1 t. vanilla 2 c. water Blend with an electric mixer. Pour into two 9-inch round pans or one 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 for at least 35 minutes or until done. ** I'm not a sifter so I did not literally do this. I used 1 c. sucanat and 1 c. turbinado sugar, did not use honey. I also used the 9x13 pan. Fudge Frosting This makes a lot so 3/4 of the frosting recipe is plenty for most people. It is plenty for the 9x13. Melt together: 4 square unsweetened baking chocolate 2 T oil or margarine (I used margarine) Blend: 1 box (1 lb) powdered sugar dash of salt scant 1/2 c. water 1 t. vanilla Stir in the chocolate mixture until thickened. Spread over cake. Enjoy!! And thanks for the tips on powdered sugar. Margaret
