Guest guest
Hi-- I''m Phyllis, and I'm new to the list. I'm sharing my fave veggie chili, which tastes an awful lot like Wendy's. Almost totally fat free, so I feel no guilt topping w/ a little shredded cheddar and dollop of sour cream . It's quick to throw together-- enjoy! 1 bag recipe crumbles (fake ground beef) One 15-ounce can tomato sauce One 15-ounce can kidney beans (with liquid) One 15-ounce can pinto beans (with liquid) 1/2 cup diced onion (1 medium onion) 1 can diced green chilis 1 stalk diced celery 2 medium tomatoes, chopped 1teaspoons cumin powder 1 tablespoon plus 2 teaspoons chili powder 3/4 teaspoons black pepper 1 teaspoons salt 1 cups water Dump all of the ingredients into a 3 quart saucepan, except recipe crumbles (fake ground beef). Cook over medium-low heat for about 1 hour. Add crumbles, cook another 30 minutes. NOTE-- I like Morningstar Farms Recipe crumbles, but I've used a 4-pack of boca burger " Chef Max's Fave " and they worked fine.
