I think this is interesting -- I have mixed feelings about this myself. I

was also raised as a meat eater and I did enjoy a lot of meat tastes as a

child. However, as I began to feel guiltier and guiltier about eating

animals, even the meats I liked started to remind me of the living animal and

I would become repulsed. Later it got so bad with things like hamburgers and

chopped beef, that if I tasted the slightest pice of grizzle and then a vein

in steak or in chicken, I would have to stop eating. Now I find the toughest

things for me to give up are pig bacon and sausage for breakfast. So, I have

also been buying the meat substitutes and trying them in place of links &

such. I'm experimenting with TVP & soy patties and find that some do taste

somewhat like the meat but not exactly, which is a good thing for me. The

same with seafood. I ate once at an all vegan Chinese restaurant and I loved

the non-seafood shrimp and fish. So, I guess those are the only two types of

food I can still handle the meat taste of. The bacon & sausage is starting

to get to me now too, but I still crave the seafood. We'll see what happens.

Just rambling,

Chris
