Guest guest Posted October 7, 2000 Report Share Posted October 7, 2000 my basic soup is carrots, celery, onion, parsley, zuchinni and whatever else is in season. Either i add them to boiling water or, to make things easier, I add them to preprepared veg soup broth. My produce store also sells veg boullion cubes. Before serving you can add rice, noodles, spinach, dumplings, or barley. My favorite home made soup is the 17 bean mix. I get mine from trader joes but other stores have simular products. After soaking them over night i drain that water then add fresh water and bring to a boil. I add marinara sauce, carrots, onion and celery. Very cheap high nutrition easy soup.
