Jenny, no offense but I think you totally misinterpreted my e-mail or maybbe you are behind on the posts! What I was saying is that the green tea BAGS sold at the regular grocery stores are the type you can ONLY put in boiling water or they will not steep. They are regular tea BAGS. If you did not put them in boiling water or very hot water they would not brew properly. What I was also saying is that I can't find the actual AUTHENTIC green tea leaves that are used the Japanese restaurants. These would be the type you put in a ball or use loose. I was also saying that the commercial bags sold in the stores do not seem to be pure green tea. They have regular black tea leaves in them and contain caffeine. We're talking about two different types of teas, pure and commercial, not the fact that one is boiled. However, if you read the nice post from the gentleman the other day and some of the other posts, I now realize that I will have t go to an authentic Asian store to find the actual green tea leaves. That is how I will be able to duplicate the flavor I've tasted in the restaurants. Thanks again to all those who answered my tea questions. I never this was going to get so complicated! Have a great weekend! Chris
