Guest guest
heya emmy... this is the recipe from the back of the King Arthur Flour bag... it's nothing special, granted, but it tastes like pizza dough!! preparation time : two hours (with rising time) dissolve in 2 cups warm water (not too hot to kill the yeast!), in this order, 1 tablespoon sugar, 1 tablespoon active dry yeast (or 1 packet), and 1 tablespoon salt. Blend in with a large spoon 5 to 6 cups flour. Turn out onto floured surface and kneed until smooth and springy. Clean and grease the mixing bowl (with a few drops of olive oil). Place the dough in the bowl, cover with a towel, and leave to rise until doubled in bulk (1 to 2 hours). (Note: putting the bowl in a warm place often speeds up the rising) bake in a preheated oven at 450 degreesF for about fifteen minutes, or until crust begins to be light golden brown. I usually knead some olive oil, rosemary, garlic, or some other spices in before i let it rise. yummy! ~Betz ___________ Free email with personality!
