Guest guest Posted September 9, 2000 Report Share Posted September 9, 2000 Hi everyone,an American friend living here in England tells me that the closest thing you have to marrow would probably be squash.Marrow is pale green inside with seeds(not watery like cucumber) and basically she said you can scoop out the seeds,scoop out some of the flesh,mix it with cheese and breadcrumbs or some savoury filling and bake it in the oven.So I guess I should ask for squash recipes!!My Mum told me it is used for making jam (ugh!)and chutney.The chutney idea sounds better!
