Guest guest
This is an easy, delicious bread that I often eat as a main course, although it's great with pasta. ) It originally called for a full 8-oz. pkg. of cream cheese, but it was WAY too much, so I cut it in half. Use as much or as little as you like! Amy Herb and Cheese Bread 1 loaf French bread 1/4 butter, softened 4 oz. (half pkg.) cream cheese, softened 2 tbsp. minced parsley 1 tbsp. dried thyme or rosemary chopped walnuts Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Split bread lengthwise and butter both sides. Mix together remaining ingredients, adding walnuts last, and spread on bread. Put loaf together again, wrap in foil (will get gooey as it bakes) and bake 20 minutes. Leave bread together and cut into thick slices using a serrated knife.
