Guest guest
Hi! Any recipe I send can be made vegan with the proper substitutions, by the way. I just don't know what those substitutions are, as I am an ovo-lacto veggie. Happy vegging! ~Emmy~ This pie is not rich like fudge, which is why I like it. It has a lighter chocolatey flavour. The top of the pie has a little " crust " , and the center of the pie is a bit gooey... like fudge! But it is not one of those terribly rich fudge pies. Fudge Pie Serving size: 4 -6. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 11 tablespoons margarine 3 squares unsweetened chocolate 1 & 1/2 cups sugar 1/3 cup flour 2 large eggs 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 cup chopped walnuts 1) Melt the margarine and chocolate in the top pan of a double-broiler until smooth, stirring occasionally. In the meantime... 2) Combine the sugar and flour in a large bowl. 2) Add the eggs and mix well. 3) Add the vanilla, salt and walnuts, and mix again. 4) Add the melted chocolate mixture, and mix until thoroughly combined. 5) Heavily rub the bottom and sides of an 8- or 9-inch pie pan with margarine if NOT using a crust! 6) Pour the chocolate mixture into the pie pan. 7) Bake for 25 to 35 minutes, or until the pie is dark but not burned at the edges, and when a knife inserted into the center comes out clean. Remove the pie from the oven and cool on a rack. Cover with plastic wrap or foil and refrigerate for several hours or overnight. P.S. I used pecans instead of walnuts. :-) ______________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com
