Guest guest Posted July 27, 2000 Report Share Posted July 27, 2000 Amanda's Kitchen Recipe Archive Caramelized Maple Tofu Vegan Preparation: overnite marinade plus 15 minutes Serves 4 to 6 1 lb extra firm silken tofu ½ c maple syrup 2 c. fresh berries 1.Slice tofu horizontally into two or three slices about ½ inch thick, and then cut them in half vertically. 2.Place in a container and cover thoroughly with the maple syrup. 3.Cover and refrigerate overnight. 4.Turn slices about halfway through marinate time. 5.Grill or fry the tofu slices over a medium heat until just warm, about three minutes on either side. 6.Place on a dessert plate and drizzle with a bit of maple syrup. 7.Serve with fresh berries.
