Oven request

Do they have to be vegan Emmy? I don't even use my oven in the summer.

It costs too much for air conditioning as it is. Vicki

oven recipes, request

 

 

Hi all,

 

With both my mother and I cooking, and with summer coming on, the kitchen

and the whole downstairs gets kind of hot w/ two people cooking on the stove

because of all the steam. If anyone has nice and easy (preferably good,

budget-wise, too) oven recipes, that would be just great! I prefer oven

recipes, too, because I can prepare the ingredients, pop it in the oven, and

then have 1/2 hour to sit and watch TV or something before eating. Fun. :-)

No, they don't have to be vegan. They can be any kind, really. Without

meat, of course. :-)

Hi,

During the hot summer months a couple of cooler options would be, 1. use

a crock pot more often, they are great for all sorts of thing, does not have

to have lots of broth, can be drier. 2. bake a number of things all at once,

freeze or refirgerate, quickly heat to use in microwave. Actually there is a

third we used to use when everyone was at home but it is not always an

option. That is to have a second kitchen range on a back porch to use in hot

months, we have a lot of hot months in Texas. No heat from this stove gets

in your house.

Mom
