Fresh firm okra either cut in pieces or left whole is

delicious. It is when the okra like fresh corn sits

that it loses its flavor and when cooked gets extra

slimy.

 

I even avoid fozen okra and always canned. Here in CA

we can grow it almost 9 months of the year. I love it

in veggie gumbo. Sauted and even deep fried although

we avoid most fried foods.
