As you can see, the preparation time for this one is minimal. You might add sautéed onion and garlic if you like, but first try it the way Jason sent it in. 1 cup brown lentils, washed and drained 4 cups water 2 teaspoons ground coriander 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoons sugar 1-1/2 cup (or 1 x 375 ml) crushed tomatoes 2 tablespoons tomato paste 2 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley To a large pot, add the lentils, water, and coriander. Bring mixture to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for about 40 minutes, or until cooked. When cooked, add the remaining ingredients and bring mixture to a boil.
