Garden-Fresh Primavera

8 ounces uncooked linguine

1 cup 1-inch pieces green beens (4 oz)

1 medium carrot -- cut into 1/4-inch diagonal slices (1/2

cup)

1/2 medium green bell pepper -- cut into 2 x 1/4-inch

pieces

1 cup sliced mushrooms (3 oz)

1 medium tomato -- cut into 1 " pieces (3/4 cup)

1 8 oz bottle fat-free Caesar or creamy Italian dressing

freshly ground pepper

 

Cook linguine as directed on package in 3-quart saucepan, adding green

beans, carrot, and bell pepper during last 3 minutes of cooking. While

linguine is cooking, place mushrooms in colander. Drain linguine and

vegetables in colander.

Return linguine and vegetables to saucepan. Add tommato and dressing;

toss to coat. Cook over medium heat until hot. Serve with pepper.

Doesn't Caesar dressing have anchovy paste in it? Or is it like

Worcestershire, which apparently some brands has is and some brands don't?

yes caesar generally does have anchovy paste in it (so does worcestershire

sauce!)...i have yet to find a vegetarian caesar dressing, but i have a

vegetarian worcestershire called " wizards " and is quite good!!! i am sure

that there MUST be a veg caesar out there! but i don't know of any...
