Tanaista T I P W O R L D http://www.tipworld.com =============================================================== TODAY'S TIP: SESAME SEED COOKIES These cookies are unusual, simple to make, and sure to receive rave reviews. They're quite flat, or just a little rounded in the middle. Note: You can find unhulled sesame seeds at health food stores. To roast the seeds, bake them at 200 degrees for seven minutes. 1/2 cup butter, at room temperature 1/2 cup brown sugar 1 egg, at room temperature 1 teaspoon vanilla 2 tablespoons cream or milk, at room temperature 3/4 cup flour (unbleached white or whole wheat) 1/4 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup sesame seeds (unhulled), roasted Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt; stir in sesame seeds. Set aside. Cream butter and sugar; add egg, vanilla, and milk, and mix well. Add dry ingredients and mix well; mixture will be soft but not gooey. Drop by spoonfuls onto cookie sheet. Bake 10 minutes or until edges are light brown.
