Guest guest Posted December 23, 1999 Report Share Posted December 23, 1999 High protein diets, vegetarian or otherwise, are dangerous. You can lose weight but at great expense to your vital organs. Too much protein causes your body to increase metabolism to get the protein out because it is toxic. I highly recommend you consider a juice fast. You will feel absolutely wonderful if you do it correctly. Dr. Joel Robbins has a book that gives you guidelines to follow and how to come out of the fast so you won't have wasted your time.
