Emmy Apple Crisp ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Serving size: 8. 8 apples, peeled and diced (preferably golden delicious or Rome) 1/4 cup water 1 cup flour 1 & 1/2 cups uncooked old-fashioned oatmeal 3/4 cup brown sugar 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/2 cup margarine 1 quart vanilla ice cream or low-fat frozen yogurt 1) Place apples and water in an 8 " baking dish. 2) Combine flour, oatmeal, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a bowl; ADD margarine and blend with pastry cutter or pastry knife until mixture is crumbly. 3) Spread oatmeal mixture over applese. 4) Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. 5) Spoon out servings of apple crisp and top with ice cream, if desired.
