Guest guest
Ack!! > Sorry I've been so quiet people...My schedule went haywire and both my e-mail accounts went nuts. I will try to send some recipies later today and some tomarow.... I just read an intro...emma? I think...sorry > and I think inprovising is the best wqay just gathering tips from recipes and other people to aid you. I had the wierdest problem the other day...I took a recipe I use all the time and made it...same as always...it came out horrible...it is normally excelent....wierd...was a pasta recipe with a rice milk cream sauce and smoked thia tofu.....herbed with some fresh muchrooms...*wonders what happened* shrug too late now.. I had an excelent sandwich yesterday...for those that eat chees...others can substitute... They put 5 types of cheese (provolone, mozzarella, monterey jack, and cheddar I know...I don't know the other one) and saum fresh saulsa (Pico-De-Gallo would be good) and sliced avacado...grilled on wheat bread...was really good...had pickles on the side. And always a standby favorite for me...whatever fresh vegie are on the discount rack at the good-food co-op sliced and grilled or sauteyed in a little olive oul...herbs thrown in just before done...fresh or dry (whatever I have) and pasta cooked while I cook the veggies... I put a little coconut cream or some sort of heavy milk substitute....sometime actual heavy cream (it works well consistency wise) and cook for a short time...turning that off I drain the pasta and all is ready to searve... the sauce is very runny unless you thicken it...so be warned > is very good though Tanaista __________________ Get your own FREE, personal Netscape WebMail account today at http://webmail.netscape.com. I think...sorry > Unless there's an " Emma " on the list, maybe you mean me: Emmy. Gosh, some of you people are so lucky to have food co-ops and fresh fruit and veggie stores near ya, health food stores. Where I live there's no such thing as a grain co-op (I love grains!) or anything like that, and the produce is not exactly excellent, although it is at least fresh, just there isn't a great selection, that's all. So I find many boundaries when it comes to being a vegetarian living here in the deep south. Happy cooking! Emmy.
