Guest guest Posted September 22, 1999 Report Share Posted September 22, 1999 Manicotti ~~~~~~~~~~~ Makes 4 or 5 servings. 1 8-ounce package Ronzoni Manicotti 1 15-ounce container ricotta or cottage cheese 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese 1 egg 1 tablespoon chopped parsley 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon pepper 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg 2 cups (16 ounces) spaghetti sauce, any flavour 1) Prepare pasta as directed on package, and drain it. 2) Mix ricotta/cottage cheese, 1 & 1/2 cups of the mozzarella cheese, 1/4 cup of the Parmesan cheese, the egg, parsley, salt, pepper, and nutmeg. 3) Spoon mixture* into manicotti shells, using at least 1/3 cup per shell. 4) Place filled manicotti shells in a single layer in a greased 13x9-inch baking pan. 5) Pour spaghetti sauce over the manicotti shells, and also sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese and remaining 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese. 6) Bake manicotti at 350 degrees for 35 minutes or until hot. *Is easier just to use your hands to fill the shells.
