Guest guest Posted September 2, 1999 Report Share Posted September 2, 1999 For those looking for microwave dishes...this could be transferred...but I am not sure on the timing....at least 20 minutes I would think...(do you have a browning dish for your microwave?) Tanaista Welsh Red Cabbage with Apple 1 medium red cabbage (shredded) 1 tsp salt 1 lb. apples peeled, cored & sliced 4 cloves 1/2 cup water 5 tbs. vinegar 3 tbs sugar 2 oz. butter 1 tbs red jelly or apple jelly Put cabbage, apples, water, sugar, salt and cloves in a large cooking pot. I use a 4 quart size, for this recipe. Cover and bring to boil; reduce heat and simmer 45 minutes or until cabbage is tender. Remove cloves. Add vinegar, butter and jelly to cabbage, mix and stir.
