Guest guest Posted August 17, 1999 Report Share Posted August 17, 1999 Tabbouli Ingredients: 1/2 teacup burghul (broken wheat) 1/2 teacup finely chopped spring onions 1/2 teacup chopped mint leaves 1/2 teacup chopped parsley 1 teacup de seeded and diced tomatoes To be blended into a dressing 6 tablespoons lemon juice 4 tablespoons olive oil or salad oil Salt and pepper to taste Preparation: 1.Soak the burghul in cold water for 2 hours. Drain well and pat dry. 2.Mix the onions, mint, parsley and tomatoes with the burghul. 3.Add the dressing and toss. 4.Put in the refrigerator. 5.Serve cold with plain or whole wheat bread. ********************************************************************** Gado Gado Ingredients 2 potatoes, boiled and diced 1 teacup french beans, boiled and diced 1/2 teacup carrots, boiled and diced 1 cucumber, sliced 1 teacup bean sprouts, washed and drained 1/4 teacup boiled green peas Any dressing that you please For the garnish Crackers biscuits Preparation: 1.Mix all the salad ingredients in a bowl. 2.Add the dressing and toss 3.Put in the refrigerator 4.Serve cold, surrounded with Crackers biscuits.
