Guest guest Posted August 17, 1999 Report Share Posted August 17, 1999 Japanese Salad Ingredients: 3 teacups lettuce leaves 1 teacup orange segments or papaya balls 1/2 teacups sweet lime segments 1/2 teacup diced cucumber For the garnish 6 red cherries Preparation: 1.While peeling, handle sweet lime and oranges carefully so that the segments are not mashed 2.Break the lettuce leaves into bite size pieces. Do not cut with a knife. Keep in ice-cold water for over 10 minutes. Then shake off all the extra water. 3.Mix the broken lettuce leaves, orange and sweet lime segments and diced cucumber and put in the refrigerator. 4.Just before serving, add the dressing and toss. 5.Serve cold on a bed of lettuce leaves, garnished with red cherries.
