Ranch & Phyllis Pellman Good Serving Size : 8 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Fix-It and Forget-It Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1/2 cup butter 2 onions -- chopped 3 ribs celery -- chopped 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley 1 tablespoon chopped fresh rosemary 1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme 1 tablespoon chopped fresh marjoram 1 tablespoon chopped fresh sage 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper 1 loaf stale sourdough bread -- cut into 1 " cubes 1 1/2 cups vegetable broth -- (to 2 cups) Saute onions and celery in butter in skillet for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in fresh herbs and seasonings. Place bread cubes in large bowl. Add onion/herb mixture. Add enough broth to moisten. Mix well. Turn into greased slow cooker.
