Guest guest
This recipe was given to me from a co-worker. He likes his soups hearty, so the vegetables are chopped bulky. 1 bunch cleaned chopped kale 1 large carrot 2 stalks of celery 3 red potato (I omitted and substituted with soba noodles after the soup cooked); 1 chopped red pepper 1 small chopped spanish onion (about 1/2 cup) 3 tsp ground black pepper 1/4 cup of turmeric 1/4 cup pearl barley 12 oz vegetable broth (I used non-chicken soup as a base) Put all items in the crockpot on low for 8 hours. Once everything is tender, I added the asian soba noodles. Mixed, garnish with fresh flat parsley.
Guest guest
Thanks, this looks so good. Is it possible that the measurment unit of the tumeric should be teaspoon, rather than cup.
Guest guest
Lol, I questioned the same measurement, but in the end it blended nicely. If you do not prefer as much spice, of course tone it down and adjust to your preference taste. , " Sue H " <sueherm wrote: > > Thanks, this looks so good.
