Guest guest
Chive Salt 1 bunch chives, fresh, minced 1/4 sea salt Add fresh minced chives to sea salt. Bake the mixture in the oven to dry the leaves and blend the flavors. Store in an airtight jar. If you like the oniony flavor of chives, add more chives to the salt. Livens up a recipe. Adds an oniony zip to just about any dish!
Guest guest
Thanks I have one shaker of just sea salt and another of a mixture (in a grinder shaker) of sea salt, thyme, rosemary, oregano, parsley, (what I've grown in herb pots), which I use to cook with as well as sprinkling into olive oil for bread dipping. With the olive oil I also add a mixture of peppers (also in a grinder shaker). My thyme bush does really well. I use it in scrambled eggs for my husband and in scrambled tofu for me.
