Lentil Soup

 

1 bag - 2 c. of brown lentils, rinsed

2 garlic cloves, minced

2 - 3 bay leaves

1 bell pepper, finely diced

1 celery stalk, finely diced

1 onion, finely diced

1 - 16 oz. can Tomato Sauce

1 1/2 t. basil

2 t. salt

8 c. water

 

Add all the ingredients together in a large pot and bring to a boil. Pour

into heated crock pot and cook for 2-3 hrs or until lentils are tender.

Remove bay leaves.
