Guest guest
This recipe was posted to the group back in 2001. It sure sounds like a winner from our archives. Garden Harvest Lasagna (Crockpot) Contributed by Diane S. by harnish I tried this last night for my family. They are the type of people that insists on meat in every meal. Believe it or not they ate all that was on their plates and some even went back for seconds. The original recipie called for baking it but I threw it into the crock pot in layers and left it cook. It turned out great and with no mess. I am sending you the instructions on the way I did things and anyone wanting the true directions, just ask. I will send them in as well. Ingredients: 6 pieces of uncooked lasagne noodles 1 16 oz pkg frozen chopped broccoli 1 can sliced mushrooms large can 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese 1 1/4 cups ricotta cheese 1/4 cup grated parmesan 1 jar or can of pasta sauce Place about 1/2 cup of sauce in bottom of crock. Break noodles to fit neatly in bottom. Sprinkle in a large handful of brocolli. Next add some mushrooms. Add a handful of mozzarella and a few dabs of the ricotta. Sprinkle parmasan over the mixture. Next pour in about 1/3 container of pasta sauce. Continue this until you have made 3 layers of noodles and mixture. I don't measure anything I just pour and guesamate the amounts. Turn crock on low and cook for 8 hours. In a hurry? Then place on high and cook for 3 hours. Sorry guys, I just don't believe in measuring things or taking the time to actually follow directions. This is sort of my way of throwing things in and coming out with a wonderful dinner. Happy Cooking! Jenny M., Moderator ~~
