Guest guest
I would add to my list of essentials TVP granules (textured vegetable protein.) For those who may not know, it's a dried soy product, reconstituted with whatever liquid you wish. I throw it into any dish that called for browned ground beef. It also comes in chunks that would be appropriate for dishes that originally called for stew beef sized pieces. Here is a typical nutritional breakdown of a name brand, but I just buy it out of the bulk bin at our co-op: http://www.calorieking.com/foods/calories-in-vegetarian-foods-tvp- textured-vegetable-protein-bobs-red-mill-dry_f- Y2lkPTc0MSZiaWQ9MSZmaWQ9OTUzMDYmcGFyPQ.html Marcey in Bloomington, Indiana
