Cover and cook on LOW until the apples are tender, 2 to 3 hours. Per apple: About 140 calories, 1.3 g fat (7% of calories), 0.1 g saturated fat, 0 mg cholesterol, 4.0 mg sodium, 3.4 g dietary fiber.
