Ranck & Phyllis Pellman Good Serving Size : 12 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Fix-It and Forget-It Cookbook Soups & Stews Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 cup dry Great Northern beans 1 cup dry red beans or pinto beans 4 cups water 1 28 oz can diced tomatoes 1 medium onion -- chopped 2 tablespoons vegetable bouillon or 4 bouillon cubes 2 cloves garlic -- minced 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning 1 9 oz package frozen green beans -- thawed Soak and rinse dried beans. Combine all ingredients except green beans in slow cooker. Cover and cook on high for 5 1/2 to 6 1/2 hours or on low for 11 to 13 hours. Stir green beans into soup during last 2 hours.
