Applesauce in the Crockpot

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

4 Granny Smith apples -- peeled, cored and cut (4 to 6)

12 ounces ginger ale

1/4 cup brown sugar

1 cinnamon stick

 

Place all ingredients in a slow cooker and cook on low for five to six hours,

depending on desired consistency. When ready to serve, stir with a fork to gain

the applesauce texture. Substitute allspice or nutmeg for cinnamon, or add

spices to taste.
