Oatmeal in a Slow Cooker with Ice Cream

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

3 cups milk

1 teaspoon butter or margarine

1 cup uncooked regular oats

2 Granny Smith apples -- peeled & chopped

1 dash salt

pancake syrup

vanilla ice cream

garnish: fresh berries

 

Bring milk to a boil in a heavy saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring often.

Remove from heat.

 

Grease the inside of a slow cooker with butter or margarine. Add milk, oats,

apple, and salt, stirring gently. Cook, covered, on low for 8 hours.

 

Serve with syrup and ice cream. Garnish with fresh berries if desired.
