Guest guest Posted January 12, 2002 Report Share Posted January 12, 2002 * Exported from MasterCook * Oatmeal in a Slow Cooker with Ice Cream Recipe By :Tara Martin, age 11, Phoenix, AZ Serving Size : 3 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Breakfast & Brunch Cereals Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 3 cups milk 1 teaspoon butter or margarine 1 cup uncooked regular oats 2 Granny Smith apples -- peeled & chopped 1 dash salt pancake syrup vanilla ice cream garnish: fresh berries Bring milk to a boil in a heavy saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring often. Remove from heat. Grease the inside of a slow cooker with butter or margarine. Add milk, oats, apple, and salt, stirring gently. Cook, covered, on low for 8 hours. Serve with syrup and ice cream.
