Guest guest
Can someone please tell me what tempeh is and what size packages it comes in? This sounds like a wonderful recipe for fall and I'm looking forward to preparing it. Also, I need main dish recipes for lunch that can be prepared right after breakfast and be ready to eat in 5 hours. Thanks in advance, Kathy - Tomi Peterson <BareCare AANB-POST <NaturesBounty >; CP-VEG-RP-POST ; LOW-FAT-CK-RP-POST <lowfatcooking >; VG-RP-2-PT <VEG-RECIPE >; VG-RP-POST <Vegetarian-Recipes > Thursday, October 18, 2001 1:31 AM Tempeh Chili > tempeh-chili recipe > Mon, 09 Aug 93 14:37:48 > leslie (Leslie E Murphy) > > TEMPEH CHILI > > 2 packages tempeh, cubed > 3 or 4 zucchini > 1 large onion, chopped > 4/5 cloves garlic > 2 cups frozen corn > 1 red or green bell pepper > 1 small can Ortega chilis (mild) > extra hot stuff if you want > > 2 large cans enchilada sauce or chili sauce < or 1 can sauce and one 6 > ounce can tomato paste and 2 cups water, my husband's preference> > > Put it all in a large pot and simmer for 30 minutes or so. > > Serve over polenta, rice or other grain, or pasta > kwvegan vegan > > > ****Note this recipe could easily be converted to the crockpot! > > > > Nature's Bounty: > Is a diverse group of chefs, cooks, and gardeners.
