Guest guest Posted September 5, 2001 Report Share Posted September 5, 2001 * Exported from MasterCook * Chili Verde Recipe By :Adapted from Best Loved Slow Cooker Recipes Serving Size : 4 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Best Loved Slow Cooker Recipes Chilis Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 pound tomatillos -- coarsely chopped 2 15 oz cans great northern beans -- rinsed & drained 1 14 oz can vegetable broth 1 large onion -- halved & thinly sliced 1 4 oz can diced green chiles 6 cloves garlic -- chopped 1 teaspoon ground cumin salt & pepper to taste 1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro -- (lightly packed) sour cream -- (optional) Combine all ingredients except cilantro and sour cream in slow cooker. Cover and cook on high for 3-4 hours. Season with salt & pepper. Reduce heat to low. Stir in cilantro and cook 10 minutes.
