Guest guest Posted September 2, 2001 Report Share Posted September 2, 2001 * Exported from MasterCook * Three-Grain Medley Recipe By :Betty Crocker's Slow Cooker Cookbook Serving Size : 6 Preparation Time :0:10 Categories : Betty Crocker's Slow Cooker CB Rice & Grains Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2/3 cup uncooked wheat berries 1/2 cup uncooked pearl barley 1/2 cup uncooked wild rice 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley 1/4 cup butter or margarine -- melted 2 teaspoons finely shredded lemon peel 6 medium green onions -- thinly sliced (6 tablespoons) 2 cloves garlic -- finely chopped 2 14.5 oz cans vegetable broth 1 2 oz jar pimientos -- undrained Mix all ingredients in a 3 1/2 to 6-quart slow cooker. Cover and cook on low heat for 4 to 6 hours or until liquid is absorbed. Stir before serving. VARIATION: Instead of pimientos, soak sun-dried tomatoes in water until tender, then chop them and add to this grain mixture.
