Guest guest Posted August 18, 2001 Report Share Posted August 18, 2001 * Exported from MasterCook * Chocolate Fondue Recipe By :Betty Crocker's Slow Cooker Cookbook Serving Size : 35 Preparation Time :0:05 Categories : Betty Crocker's Slow Cooker CB Fondue Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 12 oz package semisweet chocolate chips -- (2 cups) 1/2 cup half and half 1 tablespoon orange flavored liqueur -- (to 3 tbsp) One or several of the following fruits for fruit dippers: apple wedges, banana slices, kiwi wedges, melon balls, mandarin orange sections, pear wedges, pineapple chunks, strawberries. -- Dip apple wedges, banana slices, and pear wedges in lemon or pineapple juice to help prevent them from turning dark. Mix chocolate chips and half and half in a 1 to 2 1/2 quart slow cooker. Cover and cook on low heat for 45 to 60 minutes or until chocolate is melted. Stir until mixture is smooth. Stir in liqueur. Serve with fruit dipper and wooden picks or fondue forks. Fondue will hold up for up to 2 hours. You can also place dishes of toasted coconut and/or chopped nuts next to the fondue. Dip a piece of fruit into the chocolate then into the coconut or nuts for the ultimate taste treat. Nutr.
