It just depends on how you clean I guess. I have a dishwasher, and prefer to put as much as I can in it. If you wash by hand, I guess it wouldn't matter so much. I personally have 5 crockpots (not including my pot pourri crock), and all but the Little Dipper have removable crocks. And yes I do use all of them. I use one at least 2 times a week, don't know how I got by without them!
