Autumn Sipper

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

1 tablespoon whole allspice

3 3-inch cinnamon sticks

2 whole cloves

1 piece lemon peel -- about the size of a half dollar

1 piece orange peel -- about the size of a half dollar

1 piece crystallized ginger -- about the size of a quarter

3 cups apricot nectar

5 cups apple juice

cinnamon sticks and orange slices -- optional

 

Place spices, citrus peels, and ginger in a cheesecloth or coffee filter. Tie

securely. Place in bottom of slow cooker.

 

Pour in apple juice and apricot nectar. Cover.

 

Cook on high for 1 hour and then on low for 3 hours.

 

Garnish filled glasses with cinnamon sticks and orange slices.
