Ranck & Phyllis Pellman Good Serving Size : 10 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Beans & Legumes Fix-It and Forget-It Cookbook Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 pound dried navy beans 6 cups water 1 small onion -- chopped 3/4 cup ketchup 3/4 cup brown sugar 3/4 cup water 1 teaspoon dry mustard 2 tablespoons dark molasses 1 teaspoon salt Soak beans in water overnight in large soup kettle. Cook beans in water until soft, about 1 1/2 hours. Drain, discarding bean water. Mix together all ingredients in slow cooker. Mix well. Cover and cook on low 10 to 12 hours.
