Green Beans in " Bacon " Cheese Sauce

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

1 10.75 oz can Healthy Request Cream of Mushroom Soup

1 2 oz can chopped pimientos -- undrained

1 cup shredded reduced fat Cheddar cheese PLUS 2

tablespoons

1/8 teaspoon black pepper

1 4 oz can sliced mushrooms -- undrained

1/2 cup finely chopped onion

6 tablespoons imitation bacon bits

6 cups frozen cut green beans -- thawed

 

Spray a slow cooker insert with butter-flavored cooking spray. In prepared

container, combine mushroom soup, undrained pimientos, Cheddar cheese, and black

pepper. Stir in undrained mushrooms, onion, and imitation bacon bits. Add

green beans. Mix well to combine. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours. Mix

well before serving.

 

HINT: Thaw green beans by placing them in a colander and rinsing them under hot

water for one minute.
