Farmhouse Escalloped Tomatoes

5 cups peeled and chopped fresh tomatoes

1/2 cup finely chopped onion

1/2 cup finely chopped green bell pepper

2 tablespoons Splenda or Sugar Twin

1 teaspoon dried basil

1/8 teaspoon black pepper

4 slices bread -- toasted & cut into cubes

 

Spray a slow cooker container with butter-flavored cooking spray. In prepared

container, combine tomatoes, onion, and green pepper. Stir in Splenda, basil,

and black pepper. Add bread cubes. Mix well to combine. Cover and cook on low

for 6 hours. Mix well before serving.
