Guest guest
My mom made some Asparagus last night which put me on the hunt for something to make with them in the crockpot. She also gave me a tip, she said to pick the asparagus with tightly close heads (the top part). I don't know if that's a true tip but hers sure tasted good. Asparagus and Cheese Side Dish Makes 4 to 6 servings 1-1/2 pounds fresh asparagus, trimmed 2 cups crushed saltine crackers 1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed cream of asparagus soup, undiluted 1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed cream of chicken soup, undiluted 1/4 pound American cheese, cut into cubes 2/3 cup slivered almonds 1 egg Combine all ingredients in large bowl; stir well. Pour into slow cooker. Cover and cook on High 3 to 3-1/2 hours. http://www.mail-archive.com/crockpot-recipe /msg00364.html Happy Cooking!
