Sure Jenny! Here's my favorite: Stefado

 

It's extremely easy and everyone I've served it to has just loved it. I

frequently take it to potlucks.

 

In the morning, place in the slow cooker:

 

1 teaspoon oil

1 large onion, peeled and chopped

2 1/2 cups water

2 Tablespoon Bragg's Liquid Aminoes or soy sauce

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon pepper

1 small can tomato paste

1/3 cup red wine

2 Tablespoons red wine vinegar

2 Tablespoons packed brown sugar or Sucanat

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1 bay leaf

1 cinnamon stick

1/4 teaspoon ground clove

1/4 teaspoon cumin

2 Tablespoons raisins

1 1/2 cups chunk TVP (texturized vegetable protein)

 

Stir well. Slow-cook all day. Just before serving, pull out bay leaf and

cinnamon stick. Serve in a bowl as a stew or over rice.
